On The Clock
01:15
|
|||
Born in this world, listen to demands
Go to school, go to work, do the best you can.
Work on the line, same things everyday
Payday comes, consume everything in your way
Life- what's in it for me?
Follow your set schedules, speed up productivity.
Make no mistakes, listen to your boss
punch in, punch out, another 8 hours of the clock.
eat and sleep, then repeat
this life is so pathetic, open your eyes, can't you see.
Life- what's in it for me?
Follow your set schedules, speed up productivity.

Hidden graves, hidden bodies
Buried in time to be forgotten
Children taken from their families
To take the savage out of the Indian
When they couldn't be assimilated
Their Lives were stolen
These children who's only crime was not being white, christian or English speaking was their demise.
They were slaughtered, buried and hidden.
A church was built over their graves to hide any evidence.
Virtually every community has their dark history they try to cover up
Nowhere on this planet has there been a genocide of this scale and length.
These children deserve to be given back to their community.
Not imprisoned by their oppressor for eternity.

Blind Eye
02:49
|
|||
Have you ever stopped to think where your things are coming from?
Where they're built or who's assembling them
It almost always ends up with the same result
Someone in the third world working for next to nothing
We turn a blind eye every chance we can get
Pass the savings at the third worlds expense
in a consumer society life's based on how much you can get
We won't be satiated until there's nothing left
Look at the labels on what you wear, what you eat
Or the dead flesh you wear on your feet
This isn't so much a plea as an acknowledgement
That we need to change ourselves to get off our knees
We turn a blind eye every chance we can get
Pass the savings at the third worlds expense
in a consumer society life's based on how much you can get
We won't be satiated until there's nothing left
It's easy to let these things slip by
We're conditioned from birth to never think or question
The forests fall, another cash crop takes it's place
There's no respect for life when a profit can be made

Commodities
02:29
|
|||
They serve as your commodity
They're just another piece of your property
You call them pets, you decide what kind of life they live
Bred exactly the way you want them
Sold to the nearest chain pet store
How can you call them a friend?
You choose how to dispose of them in the end
It's just another price you pay
Another piece of your property
A status symbol an accessory
And don't you fucking see?
The love that these companions need
They're your friends, they're your family

The Real Me
01:46
|

And he woke up the next morning, a hazy cloud still stuck in his head
a welling pit in his bowels, he swore to himself it wouldn't be this way again.
He'd spent too much time, wasting time
Sleeping off what he'd done the night before
He'd looked inside a bottle, hoping to catch a glimpse of who he was inside.
But he found nothing more than a person who'd always been there, masked behind a screen of lies.
The mirror didn't lie, he couldn't see himself anymore
All he'd ever strive to be, was just the "real me"
He'd spent too much time, wasting time
Sleeping off what he'd done the night before

Body Break(Down)
02:40
|
|||
If you want to last long in "the pit"
Then eat healthy and take your vitamins
Fruit every morning to keep your glycol high
If you live like this you'll be young until you die
Wheat grass shots, protein shakes, 8 servings of veggies a day
Rice, quinoa, lentils, beans, make sure you get your grains
tofu sandwich, falafel wrap, eat like this you'll never feel like crap
apples, mangoes, fresh squeezed juice, kale salad, COUS COUS!
If we keep our bodies clean, they'll stay healthy for our needs
If we keep our bodies fit, we will last long in the pit
If you want to last long in "the pit"
Then work your muscles and excersize
Jump rope every morning to keep your blood flow high
If you live like this, you'll be young until you die
Hit the gym 4 times a week, do cardio in between
Playing sports, riding bikes, doing yoga, stretching right
Ride your bike or walk to work, don't start your car, don't be a jerk
sit ups, push ups, chin ups too
work your body don't be a FOOL
If we keep our bodies clean, they'll stay healthy for our needs
If we keep our bodies fit, we will last long in the pit

Darwinian
01:21
|
|||
"We have incisors for tearing flesh, that means we've evolved to eat other species"
Maybe at one point this may have been true, but now we must force evolution socially.
Just because we have the capacity, does not mean that it's "right"
It takes an evolution (revolution!) of thoughts, of hearts, of minds.
To accept our arrogance is just to traditionalize the culture of enslavement
forced on non human animals all their lives
It's time we break those chains. Evolve and get it right.
Eliminate exploitation. Realize that our "wants" are not our "needs"
Think critically about how your actions will be perceived by future generations.

Sharpen The Edge
01:45
|
|||
Hey you grade 8 drop out
With your lab coat
It's only a matter of time
Until your basement lab blows up
I listen to the news everyday
Waiting for another one of these headlines
A block goes up in flames
There's a smile on my face
A parasite to our society
A pusher, well this hit's for free
When I sharpen my EDGE
You'll wish you were dead
I listen to the news everyday
Waiting for another one of these headlines
A block goes up in flames
There's a smile on my face
SHARPEN THE EDGE
